Since I own an old physical copy I made sure that it was properly updated with the latest official update which was also in one of the sticky posts here but that didn't work either. I tried limiting my cores to run only 1 as per another suggestion someone posted in a similar thread, didn't work, in fact it made the performance drop quite a bit. First I tried to edit the fallout.ini by changing bUseThreadedAI=0 to 1 and added iNumHWThreads=2 as per a recommendation in one of google searches. Made a few google searches to try and resolve the issue myself. Then I decided to go to the metro, Anacostia Crossing Station to be precise, and the game put me into an infinite loading screen that I couldn't fix and crashed when I tabbed out. Btw I should mention I've been doing this for years with New Vegas, Skyrim, and plenty of others, easily squeasing in a solid 100-200+ mods with high end graphics and more than optimal preformance so I like to think I know what I'm doing and I'm definitely not tha modding ametuer I was several years ago when I started with, well, Fallout 3 actually. Installed a few mods using NMM, got FOSE all set up, used BethINI, etc. Saw a reddit post about people's favorite fallout character's from the series, Fallout 3 being the game that introduced me to the series, I decided to return to DC and give it another play through.
